no, you can't; you need a 72V controller, made or bought.
Can a 36v controller handle 48v battery?
Re: Will a 36 volt controller handle a 48 volt battery? Probably already stated and answered but a 36v controller will work on a 48v battery, its just the controller wont kick in for lvc.
Can a 48v controller handle 60V?
Re: How to use a 60v battery pack on 48v motor
The motor doesn't matter. It all depends on the controllers max voltage limit. Most with an lcd display are limited to 60V max by the display and 63V max by the controller.
Can a 36v speed controller handle 48v?
Most 36V controllers will support a 48V pack, but the LVC will still be set for a 36V pack, so you'll need to monitor pack voltage and not let it get too low. You can verify this by opening the controller and checking the caps and fets. If it has 63V main caps it should be fine.
Can I use 48v battery with 24V motor?
Re: Advice: 24V controller with 48V battery
Its a 24-48v controller. As is,, it may well run fine on 48v, but have a very low setting on it's low voltage cutoff. As long as you are not relying on that cutoff in place of a bms on the battery,, I'd just run it as is. Unless the programming does have an HVC.

Re: Heinzmann 24v motor w/ 36v battery? don't worry about using the 36V lead with a 24V motor since the lead will be at 28-30V all the time you are using it anyway. using a 36V lifepo4 pack continuously will overheat these motors from what dogman says.
Can you run a 24 volt motor on 36 volts?
No you can't use 36 volts on a 24 volt model, but you may be able to wire it for 24 volts. Not knowing what you are trying to do, but a second T/M plug, wired at 24 volts shouldn't be hard to do. No you can't use 36 volts on a 24 volt model, but you may be able to wire it for 24 volts.
Can I use 48v battery with 250w motor?
A 52v battery powering through a 48v controller to run a 250w motor will probably do fine if the motor is producing 250w or less. Like stated above, the motor probably has plastic gears that are made for a load of 250 watts or less.
Can I use a 48v controller on 36v motor?
Re: 36v motor with 48v controller
YES!
Can I use a 36v battery with a 48v motor ebike?
Re: 48V motor and 36V battery
Doesn't matter what motor you pick, just create an A setup at 48v and a B setup with all the same stuff except at 36v and compare the curves. Thanks Amberwolf, for the confirmation that it will work and I am not too crazy..
How fast is 60 volts in mph?
This stylish scooter style is a great vehicle for getting around town. It is one of our newest models to complete our line of electric two-wheeled vehicles. It has a cruising speed of 42 mph.
What is the max voltage on a 60v battery?
For a 60 volt battery, the upper limit of charging voltage is =14.4*5=72 volts, and the lower limit discharge cut-off voltage is =10.8*5=54 volts.
Can you run a hub motor without a controller?
Re: Way to test run a hub motor without the controller? Assuming its a brushless motor (3 wires ?) , then no, you need a controller to test run it.
Can you put 48v batteries in a 36v golf cart?
A 36V charger will never fully charge a 48V battery bank regardless of how much time you allow. This is a large expense that many people often overlook. The voltage must match your battery bank exactly, although the charger amperage can vary.
Can you charge a 48v battery with a 36v charger?
No matter what kind of battery you're charging, if you hook up a 36v battery to a 48v charger and let it charge to completion, you're going to ruin your battery.
Can I replace a 36V battery with a 48V battery?
Usually not. 48v batteries charge to 54.6 at 100%, which exceeds your capacitor rating. Buy the battery that matches your power wheel, or buy a new power wheel that matches your battery.
What's the difference between 36V and 48V?
Battery Volts
A 36V e-bike battery will allow you to draw a lesser critical current, typically around 15 amperes whereas, a 48V e-bike battery will allow more current in the range of 10 – 40 amperes. It means you can go faster with a 48V E-bike battery.
How long will 48V 20ah battery last?
So a 48v 20ah battery has 960 watt hours (48 * 20 = 960). A bike going roughly 25mph unassisted will use roughly 20-25wh/mile. So if you get 20wh/mile, the bike will go 48 miles pr charge. If it gets 25wh/mile it will go 38 miles pr charge.
How fast is a 48V 500w eBike?
A 500w electric bike goes approximately 25 mph (40.23 km/h) on flat ground.
Can I use a 500w battery on a 250w eBike?
If your riding does put say, the full 500w of load on the motor, then the motor will use that much power if the controller and battery can provide it. If the motor is a little 250w geared hubmotor, it may or may not be able to shed all the extra waste heat from the higher power level.
Can I use a 36V battery with a 24V controller?
Re: Running 24v & 36v on the same controller
You can use a controller rated for 36V on a 24V system, but you need to make sure it doesn't have an LVC or that it is already set low enough for your 24V pack (or you have to alter or defeat it, and then use something else to monitor your pack for LVC).
Does higher voltage mean more torque?
Torque comes from more power. Power is directly related to amps and volts.. as a result, increasing voltage increases torque. It also increases top speed because the motors have a rpm/volt rating.
Is 24V faster than 12v?
Between the two, a 24v car runs faster than a 12v toy car. A 12v electric kids car runs only at 4mph while a 24v electric toy car runs faster reaching up to 6mph.
