Can you stand behind a person when they are putting?
You're allowed to stand on an extension of the line of putt after the stroke, so it's permissible to walk in behind a ball after it has started rolling.
Where should you stand while someone else is putting?
Instead of standing directly in front of or behind your partner, stand slightly off to the side so you're out of her peripheral vision.
