How do you test a stairlift battery?
The proper method for testing stairlift batteries is with a load tester. A service tech will have this device to verify the battery level and cell stability before replacing it. In some cases, only one battery will test as bad however both should be replaced.
How do you charge a stairlift?
Modern stairlifts are battery powered and recharged when sitting at their charging points. Some older models are mains powered and have no batteries. During a power cut, the stairlift batteries will continue to work on newer models, getting you safely to your destination (read more here).
Why is my stairlift chair beeping?
If your stairlift is beeping or making noises, it's trying to tell you there's a problem with the battery.
