Can you use plastic balls with SkyTrak?

Yes, you can and though they aren't going to be quite as accurate as real golf balls, you should still be able to enjoy a decent simulated golf practice and work on your swing when you're not able to get out on the course.

Is Mevo plus better than SkyTrak?

If you mostly use your launch monitor outdoors, then Mevo+ is the way to go. Its doppler radar is much more accurate for outdoor use. On the other hand, if you plan to use your launch monitor primarily indoors AND do not have a space in which you will have 16' of depth, then SkyTrak will be better suited for you.

Does SkyTrak have multiplayer?

How far should a screen be from a golf simulator?

Your impact screen should be 12-16” away from the wall behind it. Then, it's a best practice to place your tee 10-15' away from the impact screen. Lastly, make sure you have enough room behind the tee to swing easily. In total, that's at least 15' deep is ideal for a golf simulator room.

How do you zero out tilt and roll on SkyTrak?

Zero-out the Tilt and Roll of your unit using the Level button from the SkyTrak app's home screen. You can use a bubble level on top of the unit to get it close, but use the Level feature to exactly zero-out both tilt and roll. Use the adjustable feet on the metal protective case to get it perfect.

How much does an almost golf ball weigh?

LIMITED DISTANCE FLIGHT – At only 13.5 grams - 1/4 of a traditional ball - these foam golf balls provide identical performance to a real golf ball; for accurate shots that fly only 1/3 the distance (approximately 100 yard max).

Does swing Caddie work with foam balls?

Yes, golf simulator launch monitors do work with foam balls! You can get very useful club swing data, but ball flight data is likely to be substantially different. Expect lower carry distances and lower spin rates.

Does Rapsodo work with foam balls?

If you plan to use a net with the Rapsodo MLM, I strongly recommend hitting real golf balls instead of foam or plastic balls. This is because foam and plastic balls behave differently off the club face which will skew the ball data. For net sessions, you'll need a solid hitting mat and net.

Is SkyTrak club head speed accurate?

SkyTrak is going to offer the best on-screen shot analysis and accuracy (up to 98% as accurate as Trackman) for the money.

Skytrak is an extremely accurate launch monitor, which has seen major success in the golf simulation market. It has stacked up excellently in testing against real shots and industry leaders like Trackman. There are, however, several factors that reduce Skytrak's accuracy and give you altered data.

How accurate is SkyTrak?

SkyTrak's photometric technology has one main downside but overall is extremely accurate and reliable. From our experience, SkyTrak's data is remarkably almost always spot on, and usually not more than 1-2% off from the more expensive units such as the Foresight Sports GC2 or FlightScope X3.
